Great gig last night at All Things Bright and Beautiful mini festival. The audience were better dressed than us, and got right into it, doing a proper routine for the Macarena Megamix, and generally being good eggs and saying nice things to us afterwards. Well post up some pics and links when we get them.
Thanks to George and Mike and the other soundguy who I didn't get the name of. and to Lucy for the make up. and to Giles for an amazing (and surreal*) set up which should have raised pots of money for BIRD (www.b-i-r-d.org.uk)
Note I left at around 8.30pm when the party was just getting going. I didnt find a big Whicker stature ready to save the crops, but would not have turned up in a panda car after midnight. Remember what happened to Edward Woodward (and Nicholas Cage in a piss poor remake only eclipsed by the travesty that was Mark Wahlberg in the Italian Job. Golden Rule: ever remake classics.... hang on a minute I hear you say as the Lotharios launch into Boogie Nights...the exception proves the rule in this instance. Silver Rule ? Tin Pot Rule? I rest my case M'Lud.
