Another great pair of gigs on Saturday 12th - a lovely family crowd who clapped along and laughed at Sefton Park, with lots of smiles from bemused passers by. Then an absolutely mad night at Sound on Duke Street, with everyone up and dancing, heckling and

We might do somefink at the end of August - if we can pull it all back together!
Otherwise Im going solo. With a penny flute. Planning a summer gig for Charidy in early July. Watch this space for 'An Audience with the Lotharios', new band members, stand up comedy, bingo, meat raffle, celebrity lookalike (only 1 so far) all in the pipeline, but don't hold me to it (missus)
Once the band are back from prison.

Subject: The Lotharios Hi Sean, while I'm eating my dinner I just wanna say I thought you and your mad band of men were great on Friday, and I think you gave Micahel a great send off! It was a fab night and I loved catching up with everyone! Pity Phil didn't come up to the El Rincon Latino as I never got a chance to have a gab with him. Well done anyway! Vicky xxx Played again yesterday at Micheals leaving do. The crowd were tough but we were tougher. Joined by Phil from Fly with Vampires on Keyboards and Guru. He dressed like a rhinestone cowboy - which was nice. Martin was late (back from hols), as was John (back from Mars), so that added tension to our soundcheck, as Phil learnt the set without any rehearsal. Luckily he knows when to lay off, and only played the bits he knew - on the tambourine. We did some new funny raps for Michael which included Wham Rap, Rappers Delight and some stuff we made up.
Had to wait round LIme Street to get the 2338 train because there is one to great sonkey after 2155. Had some chips and salt & pepper wings from the Lobster Pot. They were alright, but I'm hankering after sweet and sour, probably because Uncle Bens have got an advertising campaign on at the moment. (Nobody reads this except Mrs D you know) To everyone who turned up on Monday after what looked like a long day at Mathew Street Festival - thank you a good time!
Also to Belinda who turns up at virtually every gig...! Can you play keyboards? Also to Fran and Freddy for having us.... Also to Jabba from Sense of Freedom for lending us his kit....ta la! Also to Alicia for helping us with choreography (dancin' and the like) We're back on Friday for Michael C's leaving party - (note to gatecrashers on at 8pm!) |
